The Redstart The BBC Scientific Journal Redstart Editor ~ Casey Rucker
The Brooks Bird Club's scientific publication The Redstart began back in 1933, back then it was the club's single page newsletter.
The Redstart has grown and evolved over the years, it now comes out quarterly in paper form and in 2016 it became accessible online.
For forty years (1977 ~ 2016) BBC member Albert R. Buckelew (Jay) was our Redstart editor, he retired as editor in the fall of 2016. Thank you, Jay, for all your hard work and dedication to the bird club.
To learn who our other past Redstart editors where, go to our historical Redstart Editors Page.
Note: Current Redstart editions will be posted on the website when the paper copy is mailed to BBC members.
