About the Pocahontas Nature Club
Our Pocahontas Nature Club Facebook page, is the place to post anything of local interest to nature-lovers: spring bird arrivals, interesting wildflowers spotted, wild animals, fossils, weather phenomena, and more.
If you see a bird, find a mushroom, or a bug, a salamander, wildflower, etc.--- and would like to share it---or wonder what its name is, post a photo and/or info for help with identification!
Please contribute photos, videos, artwork, poetry, etc.---or start a discussion about a nature topic in our beautiful mountains.
If you don't live in Pocahontas County or vicinity, you are still more than welcome to join our group, as long as you stay on a nature topic that pertains to this mid-Appalachian region.
Maybe you were here for a visit or vacation and have a nature-related story to share---or question to ask.
Here we will post info about upcoming field trips, events, PNC projects and activities, and more.
