Regular meeting - Laura Ceperley presenting on a Panama Canal trip.
March 11th, 2024:
Kaen Kish is making the presentation which will showcase birding and other activities at Ward Hollow and include public invite to Dow Total Health Walk April 24th and World Bird Day Celebration on May 11th.
April 8th, 2024: Update: Due to storm damage the April meeting has been cancelled!
Join us for a presentation by naturalist and photographer Joey Herron of Herron Birding in Fairmont, who will discuss "Why Birds Are One of West Virginia's Greatest (and Often Overlooked) Assets."
May 13th, 2024: Ridenour Lake Park
We plan on having a potluck picnic gathering/meeting at Ridenour Lake Park in Nitro. 5:00pm gathering & birding; and meet and eat around 6:00pm.
We will have an election of officers. I have agreed to continue if elected; Bill Hall is stepping down as VP: Sheila McEntee has agreed to be VP if elected. Dianne and Doren have agreed to continue if elected. Elizabeth Redpath is stepping down from the Board. Rick and Linda will stay on the board. Will select one additional board member.

Marmet Locks and Dam, The BELLE SIDE, not the Marmet side.
Weather permitting, we will make a mile loop around the proposed Mary Ingles Memorial Trail.
It may be soggy and muddy in places so wear appropriate footwear. Bring binoculars too.
The Ospreys are on the nest and seen daily. The eagles are seen from time to time but no guarantees!

The Nature Conservancy in West Virginia would like to invite you to a groundbreaking at Hungry Beech Preserve to celebrate the development of a 2.5-acre American Disability Act compliant loop trail. The event will be held at 1 p.m. July 10 at Hungry Beech Preserve. Learn MORE!
