| Territory: | The familiar areas, such as Spruce Knob, Sinks of Gandy, Gaudineer Knob, Blister Pine Swamp, etc., add to the majestic beauty of the mountains and Greenbriar River. | ||

| Habitat: | Diverse with many interesting places to explore. | ||
| Program Emphasis: | The program will emphasize birds. You will have opportunities to join in the Breeding Surveys, Bird Population Studies and Early Morning Bird Walks. There will also be field work in Flowering Plants, Mammals, Herptiles, Insects and Amphibians. | ||
| Instructors: | Instructors at Foray are all experienced field biologists, some professional, others amateurs, but all specialists in their field of nature. Their informal leadership and enthusiasm to help people should make Foray both enjoyable and educational. | ||
| Daily Activities: | A program of lectures & field trips for campers who wish to participate. | ||
| Rules: | Rules governing Foray are few. We expect you to contribute your share toward making Foray a success. While the club cannot be held responsible for any individual, all precautions will be taken to safeguard each participant. | ||
| Cost: | Includes lodging, meals, morning snack, fees and insurance. See Application for cost breakdown. | ||
| Accommodations: | Accommodations include a large dining hall and meeting room with adequate space for the library and lab. Housing includes dormitories for the men and women. Plenty of hot and cold running water in the showers and indoor flush toilets make this a comfortable camp. | ||
| Camping: | There’s plenty of room for camping, if desired, but no electric or water hook-ups for RV’s or camping trailers will be available. | ||
| Meals: | Meals will be good and furnished by our camp cooks. There will be early morning snacks with coffee and tea. There will be two all day excursions for which bag lunches will be supplied. | ||
| Silent Auction: | Held during Foray to raise money for the scholarship fund. Donated items to the auction are needed and much appreciated. The donor may put a minimum bid on donations, if desired. | ||

| Things to Take: | Towels, soap, bedding (sleeping bag), pillow, WARM clothes, rain gear, walking shoes, boots, camera, binoculars, hangers, flashlight, rug, & notebook. Books on natural history to loan to the library (Be sure your name is in them). And, don't forget a drinking MUG! Most interesting mugs win prizes. | ||
| Transportation: | Transportation to and from camp will be up to each person. Watch for BBC signs. MAP of Foray location. | ||
